We just got home from the trip of a lifetime! We had the pleasure of going with our buddies Lara and Harv. This trip was very much anticipated and it did not fail to provide a lot of laughter and very fun times! I feel like this post should have a disclaimer because there will be A LOT OF PICTURES! I decided to break it down into 2 posts it would be way too long because I eliminated from 830 pictures! Yes thats right 830!!! So here I go!
We left for adventure to Europe on March 12. We boarded our plane and 10 hours later we landed in London, England feeling surprisingly refreshed. The chairs on British Airways are nice! I swear as soon as we hit the ground I did not stop talking with an English accent until the trip was over. I'm sure it was much more fun for me than it was for those around me.
Excitedly sitting at the airport getting ready to take off!
Cody was so excited he couldn't even hold onto his water bottle!
They couldn't hold it in either!
This may have inspired the accent. We quoted this sign for the duration of the trip!
After we got there we went straight to our flat. Yes, we stayed in a flat. And it had the most incredible view of The Tower Bridge.
We had to walk across this bridge almost everyday and I never got sick of it. So pretty!
The street out in front of our flat.
We pretty much fit as many things into our days as possible without taking the fun out of it. And of course we slept in a little bit because if I have learned two things about the four of us it's that we are much better off when we are not tired or hungry.
The British Museum.
Us just being us!
I don't think this was actually supposed to be part of the art.
But we apparently thought it should be.
Lunch in China town looking like American tourists.
We went on a Jack the Ripper tour. Very interesting, very creepy, and very cool. Lara couldn't sleep for days. I'm not lying...days! Sorry no pics!
The Big Ben.
Did you know that the Big Ben is actually the bell inside the clock tower.
So technically this picture doesn't even show The Big Ben.
I thought that was interesting!
Buckingham Palace
(the queen was inside but didn't want to come hang out with us)
The Tower of London.
I wish they would let you take pictures of the crown jewels.
FYI there is a 3,000 karat diamond in there!!!
Us with a "beefeater"
Westminster Abbey
The Globe Theater
Les Miserables. Love it! I forget how amazing the music is.
Had to get this!
Shopping at Harrods! They know how to make me happy!
Eating Gelato. Looks like I ordered off the kid menu!
Yep Platform 9 3/4!!! I like Harry Potter but I learned on this trip that Lara likes it on a whole new level! We thought it would be hard to find so Harv stopped to ask. He said, "I have a weird question to ask you" before he could finish his sentence the guy laughed and pointed us in the right direction. Pretty funny. I had no idea it was such a tourist spot!
Not sure if they know what this means but they had fun anyway.
Thanks London for being so much fun and to the ridiculously nice and hilarious cab drivers who provided us with a lot of laughs! The Paris post will be on its way shortly!
